Our “little accident”. We had forgotten for a bit that the feline birth control pill doesn’t work when combined with antibiotics. The result was a mixed litter of two male kittens (litter7). Dikkie stayed with us, because no body wanted half a Wegie with half a tail. Just forget about the back door for a second or so and your tail gets caught before you know it. After 2 weeks of going to and fro the vet’s practice half of the tail had to be amputated after all. We don’t mind, he is and will always be a great cat. The funny thing is that he is not a Norwegian Forest Cat in appearance in any way. The structure of his coat resembles more that of a British Short Hair. Only his temper is clearly of a Forest Cat. Very sociable, never looking for a fight, friendly with every body, but when it comes to hunting one can easily see the Wegie in him.
